Madison Burgess

Originally from Ontario, Madison Burgess is a dance artist, choreographer and both a fitness and dance teacher currently based in the South of England. Since graduating from York University’s BFA Dance program in 2016, and completing her MA in Performance at the University of Chichester in 2021, Madison has had the privilege of teaching across the globe, as well as dancing professionally. Madison’s passion for fitness has grown and grown over the years, and she’s been able to share her passion to the Toronto community for nearly 5 years. Madison trained with both City Dance Corps and Loft Cycle, specializing in Barre and Strength based classes. Currently, Madison is in the process of completing her Pilates Certification, and looks forward to bringing Pilates classes to the Body by Rapley community as well as a bunch of sweaty Barre classes!

Shayla Vaughan

Shayla Vaughan, E-RYT, CNP, is a trauma-sensitive yoga teacher and nutritionist who has studied yin yoga, functional movement, trauma and nutrition and mental health. She works privately with yoga clients and is a nutritionist at the Canadian Health Recovery Centre, a holistic rehab addiction treatment centre. 

 

Shayla’s path has not always been wellness-focused. After pursuing a career in broadcasting and film, Shayla’s mom passed away unexpectedly, and the loss led her to drastically change her outlook and life direction. Since then she’s devoted herself to learning about and utilizing the mind-body connection to help others heal, both on and off the mat. Her students learn real-life tactics to cope with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction—things Shayla struggled with herself prior to her journey with yoga and wellness. Along with teaching trauma-sensitive yoga and offering personalized nutritional advice, Shayla is working toward becoming a registered counsellor.

Miguel Perrault

Miguel Perreault discovered his interest for movement from a young age, but a spiritual piqued his curiosity only later in his journey. Yoga was the perfect way for him to connect body, mind and allow himself to dig deeper in his exploration of self. Self expression through body, music and words makes him a well rounded artist and communicator.


He studied Contemporary dance at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, was part of multiple fundraising shows as a choreographer and artist. He fell in love with yoga while living in Toronto, and found a true meaning when he got his 200YTT certification in India in 2019. He came back to Toronto ready to share his practice and teach, he started to create some workshops, and taught a few classes at Modo Uptown. He started teaching Barre/Yoga fusion classes at Barre Belle in October 2019, which merged his love for dance, yoga and music.
He taught yoga and meditation classes for Body by Rapley throughout 2021. It is an honour for him to be part of the guest teachers on BBR. 

Robyn Bedford

Robyn Bedford is a Toronto based Independent Dance Artist, Yoga Teacher and Movement Professional. She holds a BFA in Dance specializing in Choreography and Performance from York University, is certified in 200hr YTT, Trauma Informed Yoga, Reiki Healing, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra and Meditation. Robyn has dedicated most of her life to her artistic practise cultivating innovative, experimental and multidisciplinary dance based projects in the community. She is now expanding her work in the community as a Yoga Teacher, Reiki Healer and Wellness Professional. Robyn is passionate about creating opportunities for connection and to share her knowledge and love for the Arts, Dance, Yoga, and Wellbeing.
